A handsome pair of vintage three drawer nightstands, thoughtfully converted from the pedestal ends of a vintage desk. Their unusually narrow proportions make them an excellent choice for bedrooms where space is limited, while still providing three functional drawers of bedside storage.
Each table features a gently bowed front with three graduated dovetail drawers, fluted detailing along the front corners, tapered legs, and a shaped lower apron. Oval ring pulls with decorative backplates complement the warm reddish brown mahogany wood finish and give the pair a classic Federal/Hepplewhite Revival appearance. Circa 1940s.
Perfect as narrow nightstands, bedside tables, small end tables, or accent chests, particularly for a traditional, Federal, Georgian, Hepplewhite, English inspired, or collected antique interior.
The tables are in great vintage condition with only minor signs of wear; minor nicks/flaws & slightly discolored area on the tabletop, replaced panels at the connection point of desk, one tabletop has some water marks on the front right corner - see pics. A satin polyurethane topcoat has been applied throughout to protect and preserve the original finish.
