A beautifully refinished 3 drawer chest crafted by J.D. Chalmers of Columbia, South Carolina. The stamped maker’s mark on the wood confirms its Southern heritage. The chest features classic carved recessed panel drawer fronts, turned wooden knobs, a rich warm wood tone, and sturdy solid walnut construction with casters, this compact chest offers excellent storage while adding vintage character. Circa 1870's.

The table is in great antique condition with very minimal signs of wear having just been refinished; flaw on the tabletops back edge still present, a crack in the right side panel has been reinforced. A satin polyurethane topcoat has been applied throughout to protect and preserve the finish.
