A striking vintage mahogany coffee table featuring an elegant shaped top, rich mahogany finish, and delicate gold gilt detailing. The tabletop showcases beautiful mahogany grain framed by a darker border, with an intricate scrolling gold design following the serpentine outline and small ornamental flourishes accenting the corners and curves.
The base is equally distinctive, with graceful open scroll supports connecting the tabletop to a shaped lower stretcher shelf. Four slender cabriole style legs terminate in carved feet, giving the table a light, elegant profile despite its substantial construction. The sweeping curves and dark mahogany finish are beautifully complemented by the warm gold detailing.
A wonderful statement coffee or cocktail table for a traditional living room, English inspired interior, historic home, library, or an eclectic space layered with antique and vintage furnishings. Circa 1930-1945.
The table is in great vintage condition with very minimal signs of wear; minor nicks/scratches, small white dots on small area on tabletop. A satin polyurethane topcoat has been applied throughout to protect and preserve the original finish.
