A unique vintage mid-century bedside cabinet by Red Lion Table Co. of Red Lion, Pennsylvania, retaining its original maker’s label inside the drawer. Circa 1950s.
This compact cabinet features a light natural wood finish and a wonderfully architectural silhouette, with clean lines, tapered block feet and deeply framed front panels. The upper drawer is accented by a sculptural brass pull and displays attractive figured wood grain, while the lower cabinet is finished with a woven cane panel that adds texture and warmth.
The lower cabinet door lifts up and open to reveal a surprisingly useful storage compartment with two tiers of interior shelving, making this piece as functional as it is distinctive. Its narrow footprint makes it particularly well suited as a nightstand, bedside cabinet, end table or small accent cabinet.
The combination of warm wood, woven detailing and restrained mid-century lines gives this piece an especially versatile look that works beautifully in mid-century, organic modern, eclectic, coastal or collected traditional interiors.
The table is in great vintage condition with very minimal signs of wear; minor blemish on the tabletop, light scuffing on the right side, minor nicks on base edge - see pics. A satin polyurethane topcoat has been applied throughout to protect and preserve the original finish.
