A pair of vintage handmade solid mahogany end tables or nightstands by Charak Furniture Co. featuring federal style with a clean, round design and storage in the form of a single dovetail drawer with Sheraton style ring pulls and a small open shelf. The tables stand on tapering fluted legs. Made in 1937. Label on the inside of both drawers read "This piece was hand made in the workshops of Charak Furniture Co., Boston, Mass. Made in the year 1937."
The tables are in great vintage condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age; minor nicks/divets on the tabletops, a couple of the ring pulls are slightly different. Note one of the tables lower shelf has been repaired from beneath; however, the shelf is now in sturdy condition.
