A stunning and rare antique Eastlake writing table showcasing exquisite craftsmanship and refined styling of the Victorian Aesthetic Movement era. Crafted from rich solid walnut, this piece features a beautifully framed inset wood top with delicate incised corner detailing and original ornate brass drop pulls with decorative backplates. The single drawer provides convenient storage, while the open lower shelf with pierced gallery rail adds both structure and display functionality. Decorative carved brackets, chamfered legs, and crisp geometric details highlight the signature Eastlake influence, blending simplicity with ornamental craftsmanship. Circa 1870's.
The table is in excellent condition for its old age with only minor signs of wear; minor gap in the tabletop inset, the left side lower shelf rail has been repaired, minor nicks on legs. A satin polyurethane topcoat has been applied to protect and preserve the original finish.
