An elegant antique console table showcasing the refined craftsmanship of the mid-19th century Empire period. Crafted in rich mahogany, it features a rectangular top with rounded corners and beautifully figured grain with a warm patina. The table stands on a thick pedestal platform base and boldly scrolled feet on metal casters. Circa 1830-1860.
The table is in great antique condition with only minor signs of wear; minor scratches on the tabletop, one of the small scrolls on the bases back apron is missing. Note that the table was originally a flip top game table but unfortunately the other table surface couldn't be salvaged and the table has been repurposed to solely a console table. That being said, the two back edges have been wood filled where the hinges once sat. Feel free to reach out for detailed pictures or questions!
