An antique Louis XV style chest featuring classic French craftsmanship with graceful serpentine curves, exquisite inlaid marquetry, rich contrasting wood tones, and ornate ormolu mounts throughout. The rich contrasting wood tones are complemented by an elegant Italian black marble top with white and gold veining. The chest offers storage in the form of three banded dovetail drawers with the original ornate brass ring pulls and keyhole escutcheons (keys not included). Circa 1880-1900.
