A beautifully crafted antique authentic tortoise bamboo side table, dating from the late Victorian to Edwardian era, circa 1890-1915. This piece features classic bamboo legs with warm mottled patina, a woven reed-wrapped lift-top box, and a lower solid maple display shelf with a burnt triangle pattern border, making it both decorative and functional.
Inside the lidded compartment is a removable divided tray, perfect for organizing sewing notions, craft supplies, keepsakes, or small household items. Beneath the tray is a deeper storage cavity, offering even more usable space. Its tall, slender silhouette and natural textures make it a standout accent table for any interior. The piece adds character and authenticity that only true antiques carry.
The table is in great antique condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age; minor repair to reed damage along one side of tabletop edge (see picture) and some wear along the reed at a corner (see picture). A satin protective topcoat has been applied throughout.
