A charming antique mahogany occasional table featuring an unusually petite silhouette and beautiful early 20th century detailing. This little table is perfectly sized for use beside a chair, in an entryway, or as a decorative accent in a smaller space.
The table features a shaped rectangular top with softly molded edges, a scalloped apron accented by a small circular carved medallion, and slender fluted and turned legs. An open lower shelf provides additional display space, while the vertical paneled supports along the sides give the piece an especially distinctive architectural quality.
The rich, dark mahogany finish highlights the natural reddish brown tones and subtle grain of the wood while complementing the table's delicate proportions and traditional detailing. Its combination of refined turned elements and compact, functional form gives it a wonderful Edwardian and Colonial Revival character.
The table is in great antique condition with very minimal signs of wear with the tabletop having just been refinished; minor texture to the finish, a crack in the lower shelf has been repaired and stabilized. A satin polyurethane topcoat has been applied throughout to protect and preserve the finish.
