Beautiful antique Mission style rocking chair, crafted from solid oak and showcasing the timeless simplicity and craftsmanship of the Arts & Crafts movement. Dating to the early 20th century, this charming rocker features a warm golden oak finish that beautifully highlights the wood's distinctive grain and natural character.
Designed with a tall, gently reclined slat back, broad wooden armrests, and coordinating vertical slats along each side, this chair embodies the clean lines and functional elegance associated with traditional Mission furniture. Exposed wooden joinery plugs accent the armrests, while gently curved rockers complete its classic silhouette.
The chair includes an upholstered seat cushion featuring a delicate botanical and floral print in soft blue and white, offering a subtle contrast against the rich oak finish.
With its inviting proportions and timeless design, this rocking chair would make a lovely addition to a cozy reading nook, living room, nursery, bedroom, or covered exterior sitting area. Its versatile character complements Mission, Craftsman, traditional, farmhouse, English, Country, and Cottage interiors alike.
The chair is in excellent antique condition with very minimal signs of wear; one back slat had to be replaced - see pics. A satin polyurethane topcoat has been applied throughout to protect and preserve the original finish.
