A beautiful antique mahogany secretary desk dating to the early 20th century, featuring an elegant, petite silhouette and wonderful period details.
The slanted fall front opens to create a writing surface and reveals a fitted interior with multiple letter compartments, divided cubbies, brass hooks, and a small center drawer. Below is a generously sized serpentine front drawer fitted with ornate brass ring pulls and a central keyhole.
The raised gallery is supported by petite brass spindles, which gives the desk an especially refined appearance. Graceful cabriole front legs, a shaped apron, warm mahogany grain, brass hardware, and multiple original keyholes complete the design.
At only 29.75 inches wide and 16 inches deep, this is an unusually versatile size for an antique secretary. It provides a functional writing surface and storage while maintaining a relatively small footprint, perfect for a bedroom, entryway, living room, home office, or smaller space.
The table is in excellent original antique condition with very minimal signs of wear; minor surface scratches.
