A charming antique mahogany drop leaf table featuring a rare hidden upper drawer compartment and original brass casters. This versatile piece offers a compact footprint when closed and expands with two drop leaves to provide additional table space when needed.
The solid wood table showcases beautiful figured mahogany grain throughout, a single lower drawer with turned wooden pulls, and an unusual concealed shallow drawer above the primary drawer, perfect for storing stationery, jewelry, or other small treasures. Supported by elegantly block and turned legs ending in brass casters, the piece moves easily while maintaining classic Federal and Empire era styling.
Its compact size makes it ideal as a side table, sewing table, lamp table, entryway accent, or occasional table. The rich mahogany finish and hidden storage details give it both decorative appeal and practical functionality. Circa 1820-1840.
