Likely dating to the late 1890s–early 1910s, the chest features a tall, narrow profile with five drawers and an upper cabinet compartment, making it a particularly versatile piece for a bedroom, dressing area, hallway, entryway, or anywhere additional storage is needed.

The chest is constructed of solid oak and showcases the warm golden color and pronounced grain associated with turn of the century oak furniture. Two smaller dovetailed drawers sit at the upper left, while the upper right features a cabinet door embellished with an applied carved floral and scrolling motif. Behind the door is an open storage compartment. Three generously sized full width drawers complete the lower portion of the chest.

Beautiful antique ornate brass bail pulls complement the warm oak, while the keyhole escutcheons remain on the larger drawers. The cabinet door is fitted with a petite decorative knob. The chest rests on straight legs terminating in small brass casters, a particularly charming period detail. Stenciling on the reverse reads “Cleveland, Ohio”.

The warm oak, restrained ornamentation, brass hardware, and floral carving allow this piece to work beautifully in English, Country, Farmhouse, Victorian, Edwardian, Arts & Crafts, traditional, cottage, eclectic, and Ralph Lauren interiors.

32.5 inches wide
17.5 inches deep
46.5 inches tall

The chest is in excellent antique original condition; very minor scuffs/nicks.
